Body Contouring: what it is and who it’s for

At Vearitea Wellness Spa, body contouring (sometimes called body sculpting) means ultrasonic cavitation: a non-invasive session in which low-frequency ultrasound is applied to the skin over stubborn areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs and upper arms. It targets the appearance of the places that tend to hold on despite exercise and good eating, with no needles, no anesthesia and no downtime.

It suits adults who are already close to their goals and want a smoother, more defined look in one or two areas. It is not a weight-loss or medical treatment. It works best alongside hydration, regular movement and a healthy diet. Results vary from person to person and are not maintained without follow-up sessions.

We publish our prices, offer a 30-minute express session for busy weeks, and can pair cavitation with our −6 °C body cryotherapy in a single 60-minute combo. Every session is performed by a trained specialist, and our spa inside Hulen Mall in Fort Worth has free parking and evening and weekend hours.

Body Contouring benefits

Focused on stubborn areas

Sessions concentrate on the places that tend to hold on, such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs and upper arms, for a smoother, more defined look over a series.

Non-invasive

No needles, no incisions and no anesthesia. You lie back while the handpiece glides over the skin.

No downtime

Most people feel nothing more than mild warmth afterwards and go straight back to their day.

Three ways to book

Choose the 60-minute session, the 30-minute Express Body Treatment, or a combo with body cryotherapy in one visit.

How ultrasonic cavitation works

A handpiece delivers low-frequency ultrasound through a thin layer of gel into the area being treated. The sound waves create rapid pressure changes in the tissue beneath the skin, which is the effect cavitation devices are built around. You feel warmth and may hear a high-pitched hum, especially over bony areas, but nothing breaks the skin.

Research on spa cavitation devices is still limited, and results vary widely from person to person, so we present it as a cosmetic contouring session, not a medical procedure. Sources commonly suggest weekly sessions in a series of 6–12 per area, with any visible change building over several weeks. Drinking plenty of water, staying active and eating well between sessions all help, and occasional follow-up sessions help maintain the look.

What to expect during your body contouring

  1. Before

Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your visit, and wear comfortable clothing. At intake we ask about pregnancy, a pacemaker or metal implants, recent surgery and any liver or kidney condition, then agree on the one or two areas to focus on.

  2. During

You lie on a treatment bed while a trained specialist applies gel and moves the handpiece slowly over the area. Most people feel warmth and notice a high-pitched hum that is loudest over bone. Sessions last 30 or 60 minutes, and you can ask us to adjust the intensity or take a break at any time.

  3. After

There is no downtime. Keep drinking water, take a walk or move your body that day, and keep meals light. Any warmth or redness in the treated area usually settles within a few hours. Book your next session about a week later to keep the series on track.

Cellulite and skin texture

Cellulite, the dimpled texture most often seen on the thighs, hips and buttocks, is extremely common and has more to do with how connective tissue and fat sit under the skin than with fitness. No spa treatment makes it disappear, and we will not promise that.

What we offer is a smoother look. Cavitation sessions on the thighs and hips, which can be finished with our −6 °C body cryotherapy, are aimed at the appearance of skin texture over a series. Results vary and fade without follow-up sessions, and they are most noticeable alongside hydration, movement and good skincare at home. The most studied cellulite options are minimally invasive procedures performed in a physician’s office, and we are glad to talk through what we can and cannot do at your consultation.

Cavitation + cryo combo ($540)

The combo pairs both of our body treatments in one 60-minute visit: ultrasonic cavitation first, then body cryotherapy with a chilled applicator at −6 °C over the same area for a smoother, more toned finish. It suits clients who want the contouring session and the cold step without booking two appointments.

A single combo session is $540. Bundles bring the per-session price down: 6 sessions for $3,095, 10 for $4,255 and 12 for $5,095. Like every body treatment we offer, it is cosmetic and results vary, and it is not suitable during pregnancy, with cold urticaria or Raynaud’s, or with a pacemaker or metal implants.

Good to know before you book

  • Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with a pacemaker or metal implants in the treatment area.
  • Tell us about liver or kidney conditions, recent surgery, open lesions or an active skin infection before booking.
  • Results vary from person to person and are not maintained without follow-up sessions.
  • It is not a weight-loss or medical treatment; hydration, movement and a healthy diet make the biggest difference between sessions.

Please tell us before you book if any of these apply to you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Pacemaker or metal implants
  • Epilepsy or light sensitivity (light therapies)
  • Cold urticaria or Raynaud’s (cold therapies)
  • Recent fillers, Botox or surgery
  • Open lesions or active skin infection
  • Lupus, psoriasis or a similar skin condition in the treated area
  • Cancer in the past five years (body treatments)
  • Heart, kidney or liver disease, deep vein thrombosis or varicose veins (body treatments)

Treatments at Vearitea Wellness Spa are cosmetic and wellness services, not medical care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Results vary from person to person. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, cold urticaria, an active skin infection, or have had recent surgery, talk to your physician before booking.

Why Vearitea Wellness Spa

FDA-cleared LED devices

Our LED facials use Perfectio X (red and infrared) and Sapphire X (blue, 415 nm), both FDA-cleared Class II devices, and Elevare (red and infrared, 640–840 nm), also FDA-cleared. Clearance covers the device, not a particular result.

Precise cold at −6 °C

Our cryotherapy applicator is chilled to −6 °C and used in brief, controlled passes: contact cooling, not a nitrogen chamber.

No downtime, open late

Every treatment is non-invasive, with no needles and no downtime. We are open until 8 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, plus Sunday afternoons, with free mall parking.

Body Contouring FAQs

How much does body contouring usually cost?

At Vearitea Wellness Spa the Express Body Treatment is $245 for 30 minutes and the full Ultrasonic Cavitation Body Contouring session is $400 for 60 minutes. The Cavitation + Cryotherapy Combo is $540. Packages of 8 to 24 treatments ($2,795 to $6,995) bring the per-treatment price to roughly $290–$350, and Affirm financing is available.

Does ultrasonic cavitation actually work?

It can help the look of a stubborn area for some people, but it is not a weight-loss treatment, and research on spa cavitation devices is still limited. It tends to suit people who are close to their goal and can commit to a weekly series with plenty of water and regular activity. Results vary, and they are not maintained without follow-up sessions.

What is the most effective body contouring procedure?

The biggest changes come from surgery, and some physician-run clinics offer medical devices for the same goal. Non-invasive body sculpting sessions like ours are gentler: no needles, no recovery time and more modest, gradual changes in how an area looks. If you want a smoother, more defined look in one or two places without downtime, cavitation is a reasonable place to start.

How many cavitation sessions will I need?

Sources commonly suggest weekly sessions in a series of 6 to 12 per area. We suggest a plan at your first visit based on the area and your goals, and after the series, occasional maintenance sessions help keep the look. Packages of 8, 12, 16 or 24 treatments cover a full series at a lower per-treatment price.

When will I see results, and how much will change?

Any change builds gradually, so judge your progress after several weeks of weekly sessions rather than after one visit. We do not promise a measurement, because results vary from person to person; photos taken in the same light and pose every few weeks are the fairest way to compare. Hydration, movement and a healthy diet between sessions make a real difference.

What happens if you do ultrasonic cavitation every day?

We do not treat the same area every day. Sessions on one area are spaced about a week apart, in line with what sources commonly suggest, and there is no good evidence that more frequent sessions speed anything up. If you want more done in one visit, the 60-minute session or the cavitation + cryo combo is the better choice.

Does cavitation hurt, and is there downtime?

Most people find it comfortable. You will feel warmth and may hear a high-pitched hum, especially over bony areas, and we can lower the intensity at any time. There is no downtime: any mild redness or warmth usually fades within a few hours, and you can go straight back to work or errands.

Who should not have ultrasonic cavitation?

Please skip it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had recent surgery, or have a pacemaker or metal implants near the area, a liver or kidney condition, or open lesions or an active skin infection where we would work. Tell us about any medical condition at intake, and if you are unsure, check with your physician before booking.

What is the most effective treatment for cellulite?

The most studied options are minimally invasive procedures performed in a physician’s office. Spa sessions like ours are gentler and aim for a smoother look rather than removing cellulite, and the effect is temporary. Cavitation on the thighs and hips with a body cryotherapy finish is a no-downtime option, kept up with hydration, movement and regular sessions.

How is cavitation different from cryo body sculpting?

Cavitation uses low-frequency ultrasound to target the appearance of stubborn areas. Cryo body sculpting uses a chilled applicator at −6 °C to help the skin look smoother and more toned. You can alternate the two, or book the Cavitation + Cryotherapy Combo, which does both in one 60-minute visit for $540.
